Angela Miloro-Hansen
Angela is the founder of Curtain 440 and has been active in the theater community for over 20 years through teaching, acting, directing, stage managing, set design, props, costumes, and more. She has been directing youth programs since 2005 and mainstage teen and adult productions since 2011. Her work with students has been recognized by the Ohio Community Theater Association as "outstanding." Some of her favorite directing credits with 440 include Pride and Prejudice, Into the Woods, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Favorite directing credits elsewhere include Beauty and the Beast, In the Heights, School of Rock, and Peter and the Starcatcher. Angela also runs the Curtain 440 Rep Company, comprised of students who perform 6 shows a year and travel to different schools and locations for performances.
She is also the author of The Star on My Heart, a play written with Holocaust survivor, author, and world speaker Inge Auerbacher, about Inge's experiences and survival. The show premiered in 2015 in Ohio and has since been performed multiple times throughout the state and across the country. Angela believes that theater and the arts are crucial to the development of all ages and strives to teach tolerance, acceptance, and outside the box thinking through her shows. She also believes that theater is an excellent way to learn from history and can help open the doors for actors and audiences alike to learn from and respect other ways of life.
